Ron Ferrell, one of Floyd’s good friends over the years added the following statements.

“Gone to soon. The many years you spent as a dedicated Amateur Radio operator and enthusiast should be noted. We enjoyed working on civic projects such as organizing a “HamFest” with proceeds going to our Amateur Radio Club and working Bingo for the Belpre Volunteer Fire Department. Floyd was a kind and generous soul with a love to laugh and a never quit attitude. He will be sorely missed by his friends and members of the Amateur Radio Community.”

Over the last couple of years, Floyd helped us with our 50/50 raffle at our Buffalo Ham Radio Swap Meet. He went around the grounds selling raffle tickets that helped to fund our door prizes, as well as helping us to fund our Pioneer Antique Auto Club Charities.

Floyd was a friend to all and his humor will be missed on our Buffalo Nets and on 2 meters. Gone, but not forgotten. Rest in Peace Floyd, you touched many of our lives over the years.
